A Place You Never Forget
Mark Steenson, Co-Founder, Marketing Director
In 2012 I made an attempt of the Ho Chi Minh Trail alone and self-supported, when after 10 days I pushed my way out of the jungle with a completely broken shoulder. It was the hardest adventure than I ever done. Pushing my body and mind to the limits. Even after feeling like I wasn't even going to survive many nights alone in the jungle, I never felt so much alive. That brought my bikepacking planning understanding to the whole new level. No other bikepacking adventurer since can even come close to a true adventure feeling, that the Ho Chi Minh Trail brings to you. Over the years I was considering to come back and complete this historical trail, despite how much I hated and loved every minute of it. Over the next 5 years I continued to explore solo bikepacking other countries mainly in Asia and few bikepacking tours in the good old USA. After racking up over 10,000 km, improving my skills and spending a fortune on bikepacking gear I was ready to tackle the Ho Chi Minh Trail again.
Pavel Nikishin, Co-Founder, Technical Director
All my life I was representing sport and adventure enthusiast and joining the team as a co-founder made our Ho Chi Minh Trail dream feasible and complete. The strong partnership clinched the decision to get out there and complete the world most dangerous trail in the world. More research was needed, so we reconsidered about the gear what worked and what didn’t, what was impossible and why. The old Russian military maps of the Ho Chi Minh Trails and historical war maps that where stored in university in USA was studied, then luckily enough we met UXO team who shared the complete list of all the bombing runs direct from the CIA given by US president Clinton to help Laos government locate the bombs and clear the trail. Many bridges were destroyed and many parts of the trail were under water so the game changing decision comes in place: to add packrafting to help cross rivers, man-made lakes - that once were a part of The Ho Chi Minh Trail. So, in 2017 the adventure began.

So, if you like to book and you are from USA or got questions go ahead and ask Joe, he has first-hand experience of the trail, also being from the USA he can answer any concerns that you may have regarding visa or other travel tips.
